I am extremely satisfied with the Humax Freesat recorder, the picture and sound quality are far superior to SKY. It was easy to set up and recording is so simple now. It is great to have only 1 box of tricks instead of 2. The only hassle was taking a new cable right therough my loft, and having to climb a ladder. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone who is fed up with SKY and wants to watch programmes in HD. Our LCD TV really does complete the new viewing experience.

Bought this to replace subscription PVR. Very simple set-up, using Postcode to determine regional variations. Menu structure easy to navigate, and recording is simple 1 button. Prompts for series link options, and will even suggest alternate recording date / time / HD channel. Only downside is the lack of built in RF out connection (Aerial out socket), but an RF Modulator overcomes this. Would recommend it for someone looking for PVR with good storage capacity.
